Let’s talk about the stages of the production process using the example of the production of single-walled printed cups.
The process starts with the receipt of an order from the customer. It is transferred to a specialist who plans production and orders cardboard. Then the procedure is as follows:
1. Cardboard extrusion.
The roll is installed on the unwinding station, after which it enters the edge alignment module, which makes it possible to position the PE coating over the entire width of the web.
To avoid the risk of PE delamination, the cardboard enters the first corona treatment module. Then the cardboard is covered with PE, which is poured from a heated auger, after which it quickly cools down.
Then the raw material enters the second corona treatment module, where the cup is glued with an ultrasonic knife. The cardboard passes through the edge trimming module, is rolled into a roll and transferred to one of the following two sections: – slitting machine – here the roll is cut into bobbins for further production of the bottom; – flexographic printing. Extruded cardboard is installed on the unwinding station and passes through the automatic pre-print alignment module. Then the raw material enters the corona treatment module (if it has not undergone similar treatment on the extruder) and is sent for printing to the printing machine. The unit consists of six sections, each of which is designed to apply one type of paint using a roller (excess solution is removed with a scraper knife). Different types of rollers allow paint to be applied to the cardboard, after which it goes into the heat dryer. The last section has the ability to apply UV varnish.
2. Cutting out the side walls of the cup (Feida).
The cardboard is installed on the machine and passes through the unwinding rollers, which ensure alignment and pulling. Then the raw material enters the sensor, which measures the cutting pitch using marks printed on the cardboard.
Then the cardboard enters the stamp (die-punch system) for cutting out the side walls. After cutting, the semi-finished product is folded onto a pallet and proceeds to the next stage of production.
3. Cup gluing section
Blanks of the side walls of the cup are loaded into the gluing machine. A reel for cutting out the bottom is attached to the unwinding module.
The blanks are transferred by suction cups to the table, and then to the unit where the side wall is rolled around the cone and glued with an ultrasonic knife.
The cut-out bottom from the cutting module is fed to the mold, and the glued side wall of the cup is put on top of it.
The side walls with bottoms rotate on the carousel and are fastened together in the heating/forming/rolling modules under pressure.
After that, the operation of creating the upper turn is performed.
Finished cups undergo automatic quality control: internal and external.
After that, they get into the pneumatic duct and are transferred to the unit that packs the goods.
4. Packer
The stacker counts out the specified number of cups and puts them on the conveyor. From here, the products go to the automatic packaging line in polyethylene bags, the open sides of which are sealed.
Then the cups are transported by conveyor to packing boxes, marked, loaded into the car and sent to the customer.
