With 1,455 exhibitors, the event brought together industry leaders from 81 countries, all eager to explore the latest trends and innovations in packaging technology. This year’s theme, “Transition in Packaging,” echoed throughout the halls and program sessions, highlighting the transformative changes impacting the packaging industry.
Key discussions focused on sustainability, energy supply challenges, supply chain complexities, digitalization, and the integration of artificial intelligence. A pivotal topic was the role of the circular economy in the future of packaging, underscored by the EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which sets binding targets for packaging volumes and composition by 2030.
