Expert Opinion from Nataliia Kovtiukh, Head of Quality Department at Univest

Product safety is not just a phrase but a comprehensive set of measures covering every stage—from sourcing raw materials to monitoring the final product. At Univest, we ensure the safety of our products for clients through:

  • Collaboration with reliable suppliers
  • Strict adherence to standards at every stage of production
  • Independent testing in accredited laboratories

But have you ever thought about how you, too, impact the safety of the products you receive?

⚠️ Improper storage conditions or using packaging for unintended purposes can affect microbiological and organoleptic properties (like changes in color, odor, etc.).

We invite you to take a simple test to see how knowledgeable you are about proper packaging use:

  • Do you heat food in packaging with PE coating?
  • Do you store products in such packaging for more than 2 hours?
  • Do you use PE-coated cups for alcoholic beverages?
  • Have you not received confirmation from your supplier regarding the packaging’s suitability for food contact?
  • Is the temperature of food or drinks in disposable tableware exceeding 90°C?
  • Do you store packaging near liquids or raw materials with strong odors?

If any of these apply to you, it’s worth clarifying the packaging usage conditions with your supplier.

📋 Remember: proper storage and usage conditions are your contribution to customer safety.
